Is A Deposit Required?
Yes. A deposit of 50% is required to book a fishing trip. You will not be billed until the morning of the charter.
What should I bring?
Sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses, hat, plenty of bottled water and whatever you would like to eat. I provide an iced down cooler for your beverages and food. Please do not bring your own cooler.
Can I bring alcohol?
Limited amount of beer and wine only. No glass bottles please. Absolutely no hard liquor is permitted. I have a zero tolerance policy for drugs of any kind. If drugs are found on the boat, you will be immediately returned to the dock and will forfeit the entire amount for the charter.
What do you supply?
Rods, reels, bait, tackle, flies, leaders, lines, plugs, artificial, live bait, iced down cooler and fish cleaning services at end of charter. All my equipment is new each season. I change line every other week on all my reels.
Can I bring my own fishing gear?
Yes, you may bring your own gear; however, if it is inappropriate for the type of fishing we may be doing, you may not be able to use your gear. Please call me ahead of time if you want to be sure your gear is appropriate. I have gear available for both spin and fly-fishing.
What kind of boat(s) do you operate?
I have 2 boats in my fleet. The first is a brand new 2006 24-foot Sea Pro bay boat with a Mercury 225-hp outboard. It is equipped with the latest fishing technology. It includes a T-top that offers partial shade. This boat accommodates up to 6 people. The second boat is a 16-foot Silver King flats boat with a Yamaha 90-hp outboard. It also is equipped with the latest fishing technology. This boat accommodates up to 3 people and is designed for stalking red fish in the flats or flooded grass, conducive to fly-fishing.
Will I need a fishing license?
No. You are covered under the boat's charter permit while fishing with me.
What kind of fish can I expect to catch?
Depending on the season: red fish, trout, flounder, and a variety of sharks, tarpon, cobia, spadefish, black drum, and sheepshead just to name a few. We will only keep legal fish! Please do not ask me to keep under size fish.
Call the night before your trip.
Please contact me the night before your trip.
What if the Weather is bad?
It is my discretion to go or not to go. The winds are bad to me when it is a small craft advisory. This means that the winds are over 25 knots and gusty. Probably not the nicest day on the water. As for rain, it will be a mutual decision based on radar forecast. Rule of thumb, I generally do not go out on bad days. I will not go if there is threat of lightning.
What happens to my deposit if I get cancelled due to weather?
If I cancel due to weather you are refunded in full. If you decide to cancel because you do not like the weather and the captain says its ok, there is no refund. (This has never happened).
What happens to my deposit if I cancel inside the 7-day cancellation policy?
We realize things come up last minute; unfortunately trips don't come last minute for us. There is no refund of your deposit.
What if I do not show or call or anything for my trip?
You will be billed in FULL for the trip you have stood up. Understand that we only have so many days to sell our fishing trips, Standing up one of our trips means someone else could not have gone with us. Not to mention that it is just plain rude!
How do I cancel last minute?
The only way to not get charged in full is to call us 48 hours prior to your charter. 1-843-270-7418. Leave a message telling us what the deal is. You will not get a refund for your deposit but you will not get billed in full.
